I pretty much live a simple life. I had friends, and a loving family. My school was awesome. I loved all my classes and no one ever gave me trouble. So when I came home from school on Friday, my parents had a nervous expression on their faces.
"Mom? Dad? What's wrong?" I asked them, concerned.
"Honey, we just can't pay for this house anymore. We have to move." My Dad said and I was shocked and upset. I didn't want to move. I love it here in Boston, but I knew it wasn't wise to argue with my parents, because they would get extremely mad at me.
"Ok dad. When are we moving and where's Adian?" I asked them sadly, knowing we have to move.
"Adian is already ready at the new house and were moving tomorrow morning." My mom said and I was even more upset that they didn't tell me this sooner. By the way, Adian is my older brother. He's eighteen and in Boston your allowed to drive at eighteen.
"Why didn't you guys tell me sooner?" I asked them, betrayed.
"I'm sorry sweetie, we just didn't know how to tell you. We really are sorry about this. Now please go upstairs and pack your things. Everything but your room has been packed and its on the way to the new house now." Dad said and I nodded. I looked around and noticed that everything was gone. Wow I am oblivious. I then ran upstairs to my room and packed up my stuff in the boxes Mom and Dad gave me and they helped me move in in the car. I saw my bed and My furniture had been taken out of my room when I was upstairs. As we got into the car, I looked at the windows in my surroundings and then remembered I never asked my parents where we were moving to.
"Mom? Dad? Where are we moving too?" I asked them and they looked nervous again.
"Phoenix, Arizona." Mom told me nervously and I was so angry right now. We're moving from Boston, Massachusetts to Phoenix, Arizona! That's all the way across the United States!
"So you mean to tell me that we're moving all the way on the other side of the United States, and I'm never going to see any of my friends again?!" I yelled at them and they looked guilty.
"Yes. I'm so sorry Casey, but we couldn't pay for the house anymore and your Dad's family lives in Arizona. Plus the houses there are cheaper." Mom told me, but I couldn't here them. I put my headphones on and blocked them out with the sound of Breaking Benjamin.
It was one in the morning when we got to Arizona and the new house looked pretty nice. All of our stuff, but mine were already in the house and arranged the way my Mom and Dad liked. They told me that my room was upstairs on the left and Adian's was on the right. I ignored them and ran upstairs to my new bedroom. I opened the door and my bed room looked really cool. I love music so, my room was white with black and blue music notes on the walls. (Favorite colors Black and Blue), All of my furniture was set up so I could sleep on my bed tonight. I hung up some posters and put up some pictures. I then started listening to my Mp3 until Mom yelled that it was time for dinner. Adian ran in front of me downstairs and we all ate dinner silently. Until Dad needed to say something.
"Casey, I know your upset about leaving Boston and your friends behind, but your going to make new friends and love your new school better." Dad told me and I kinda glared at him.
"What school am I going too?" I asked him and he looked at Mom saying with his eyes that it was her turn to speak. Pathetic.
"Daniels High School." Mom told me and I nodded.
"When's my first day?" I asked them.
"Monday." Dad told me and I surprised it was so soon. Though, I've been surprise enough today. I finished my dinner and asked to be excused. Then went upstairs when they said it was okay. I listened to my music until I fell asleep for the first time in my new house.
It was probably about two hours later when my phone woke me up. It was my friend Allyson who I left behind in Boston. But why is she calling me at four in the morning? I thought, but still answered anyway.
"Hey Ally, why are you calling me at four in the morning?" I asked her, tired from not getting any sleep.
"Um, Casey it's nine in the morning. Your always up at nine on Saturdays." She told me confused and I looked at the clock on my phone and it said 4:02 am.
"No Ally, it's four in the morning." I told her and I knew she was shaking her head. She always loved to be right.
"No Casey it's nine in the morning." She told and I was about to say no it wasn't, but then I remembered that on this side of the United States, the time is three hours behind the East Coast. So it was nine in the morning there and it's four in the morning here.
"Ally, it's four in the morning where I am. My parents didn't bother to tell me until I got home yesterday from school that we were moving to Arizona. So that's where I am right now." I told her and I heard her gasp.
"So you mean that you moved to Arizona and that your never coming back?" Ally asked sadly.
"Yeah. I'm sorry Ally if I knew before hand I would have told you and the others, but I found out yesterday and we moved as soon as I got home." I told her and I heard her starting to cry.
"Aw Ally don't cry, please. We can still text and talk on the phone and even Skype. Maybe I can even visit in the summer." I told her trying to cheer her up and it worked a little.
"Ok Casey. I just wish I knew you know. So the girls and I could of done something for you." Ally said.
"Yeah. I just wish I can see you guys one more time." I told her sadly and she agreed.
"Yeah me too. I'm gonna miss you Case." Ally said.
"I'm gonna miss you too Ally. Even the girls. Please make sure they know about me moving too." I told her.
"Ok, I will. Now I'm gonna let you sleep, because like you said its four in the morning there in Arizona and you probably want sleep now." Ally said chuckling and I laughed with her.
"Yeah, Good morning Ally." I told her.
"Good Night Casey. Call me when you wake up though. Bye." She said and I agreed.
"Ok, Bye." I told her and hung up. Then went back to sleep.
*Two Days Later*
I woke up to my alarm at six in the morning to get ready for to go my new school. I put on a orange shirt that said let the music take hold, a black skater skirt, black boots, a black beanie and a music note necklace. I combed my long, chocolate brown hair and I ran downstairs to eat breakfast. Mom, Dad and Adian were all eating pancakes.
"Good morning sweetie. Ready for the first day of school?" Mom asked me and I nodded.
"Yeah, whose's driving me?" I asked and Adian raised his hand.
"Me. Come on before your late." Adian told me and I nodded following him out to his car. I already saw that he replaced his Massachusetts license plate with an Arizona one. He's already changing from this move. I thought as I got into the car and we were silence throughout the whole ride until we got to the school. It was huge!
"Nervous Case?" Adian asked me and I nodded.
"A little. I mean I'm starting a new school in the middle of the first semester." I told him and he nodded.
"Yeah, lucky I finished school before we left, But I'm sure your gonna have a good day ok?" Adian said and I nodded.
"Ok. Bye Adian." I told him getting out of the car.
"Bye Case. Good luck!" He yelled from the car and then drove away. While I was walking to the entrance a bunch of people wouldn't stop staring at me. I saw some guys whistling and cat calling at me. It was really annoying, but I paid no mind to it. I finally found the office and walked to talk to the lady at the desk.
"Hello, how can I help you?" She asked.
"Hi, I'm Casey James the new student." I told her and she smiled.
"Ah we've been expecting you Ms. James. Come along we me so we can get your schedule." The desk lady said and I walked with her into a office.
"Um, I'm sorry I don't know who you are." I told her and she looked at me surprised.
"Oh I'm sorry dear, I'm Principle Collins." P. Collins said and I just looked at her.
"Oh ok, sorry I didn't know. My parents didn't exactly tell me much about the school." I told her and she nodded.
"Its ok. Well here is your schedule. I'll walk you to your first class, which is Music." P. Collins said and walked me down a long hallway. The bell already rung so everyone is in class right now. P. Collins knocked on the door and everyone started to stare at me. Again, like in the hall, some guys started to whistle, but I ignored it and walked to the front of the room with P. Collins.
"Ok class. I want you to welcome Casey James to our school, Casey this is your music teacher Mr. Kindle." P. Collins said and I shook Mr. Kindle's hand.
"Welcome to Music Casey." Mr. Kindle said and I nodded.
"Thanks. Glad to be here." I said and smiled to him.
"Well I must be off. Have fun Miss. James." P. Collins smiled and then left.
"Ok Casey, why don't you tell us about yourself?" Mr. Kindle asked and I nodded.
"Um sure. I moved here from Boston, Massachusetts so I traveled a pretty long way. I have an older brother named Adian and he's pretty cool I guess. I really love music, but I guess you guys knew that since I'm in this class. I guess that's it." I said to the class and this one girl smirked at me. In a way I didn't like, but I pretended like I didn't notice.
"Ok, well you can sit next to Logan in the back there." Mr. Kindle said and everyone gasped. Some girls I heard as I went to the back were saying Eww or that they felt sorry for me. I looked at Logan and he didn't look bad at all. I wonder why people hate him? When I sat down, he didn't even look at me. Like he was afraid to talk to me or something, but before I could say anything Mr. Kindle started talking.
"Ok, today we are doing Oral Presentations!" He told us and most of the class yayed while the other half booed.
"Ok, first is Carly Samson." Mr. Kindle said and the girl who smirked at me earlier stood up and started to sing. She was really good.
"Nice job Miss. Samson. You get an A." Mr. Kindle said and she smirked at me again and sat back down in her seat.
"How about Casey James. Why don't you come up here?" Mr. Kindle said and I was a little shocked, but I stood up anyway and walked to the front of the class. I sang Lightweight by Demi Lovato. When I was done, their was silence and then the whole room burst into applause. Carly was glaring at me like I was gum on her pink heel.
"That was excellent Ms. James. You get an A+." Mr. Kindle said and I smiled and thanked him. Then went back to my seat. Before Mr. Kindle could say anything else the bell rung and everyone started to leave. I looked at my schedule and tried to walk at the same time, but a pink heel came in contact with my foot and sent me falling on the floor. I could here everyone laughing at me.
"I am not going to let a loser like you enter the music world or rule my school. Stay out of my way or watch your back James." Carly said and she and her posse walked all over my books then walked away. I got them up as fast as I could and ran to my next class.
Carly wasn't kidding when she told me to watch my back. I'm in all of her classes and since I got As in everything today she's been trying to kill me. She dumped her lunch on me, tripped me into my locker, which caused a huge bruise on my shoulder and wrote really mean notes and taped them to my locker so everyone could read them. Worse day of school ever. Soon Carly started doing this daily when I made As and she didn't. Then it turned into full out bullying. I was harassed and tormented all day, everyday. I even got mean notes in our mail. I felt depressed and alone. I've been at the school for months now and I still have no friends. Just bullies. I even stopped eating or I would eat and throw it up later. I use to fight back when Carly attacks me, but now I could care less. I stand there and take it. I even started wearing black clothes instead of bright colors. Adian even saw a change in my behavior and asked me about it one night.
"Casey? Are you ok?" Adian asked and I nodded slowly lying to him.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Never better." I told him and he looked skeptical, but soon let it go and stopped asking me if I was ok. The only thing that didn't change were my grades. I still always got As. One day though, when I was home alone, someone knocked on my door. I answered it and it was Logan..
"L-Logan? What are you doing here?" I asked quietly and he just looked at me.
"Can I come in Casey?" He asked and I nodded letting him in. He sat down on the couch and I looked at him.
"So what did you want? I mean this is the first time you have talked to me all year." I asked him, curious to why he wanted to talk to me.
"I'm really sorry that your being bullied Casey. The reason I didn't speak to you was because I was getting bullied too for being a dork. When you first came, I didn't want you thinking that I was a dork and treated me like everyone else treats me." He told me and I stood up and walked to him.
"Well, I wouldn't have done that. You are really nice Logan and I was going to speak to you on my first day, but I had a feeling that you didn't want to talk to me. Now it doesn't even matter. I'm getting bullied by Carly and I still don't have any friends since I've moved here." I told him sadly and he grabbed my hand, which made me look up at him.
"Casey, c-can I be your friend?" Logan asked me nervously and for the first time in months I smiled.
"Logan. I thought you would never ask." I told him smiling and he gave me a hug I was thankful for. He was the only one who offered to be my friend. I became more confident in my self and stood up more to Carly. She bullied me more now, because I was friends with Logan, but I could care less. I stood up for Logan and myself. I went back to eating regularly and stopped feeling depressed. I even went back to wearing bright clothes again. All because I finally had a friend. Soon Carly just gave up on me, when she knew I didn't care about what she said about me. Even Logan didn't care and everyone at school gave us new respect. I started a anti-bullying club at school that a lot of kids that were bullied by Carly joined and the club was a success. Now Daniels High School no longer had any bullies and The school became more of a happier place. I still miss my friends in Massachusetts, but Arizona is not so bad. Now that I stood up to bullying and have a friend. Well that's my story. Bye! ~ Casey James.
Well Casey overcame her bullying and all it took was a friend. Let's see if the next person will do that..
Justin's Story

Location: Lansing, Michigan
My life sucks. My Dad doesn't love me anymore. He blames me for Mommy dying. My mom died from brain cancer. I am the only child in my family and Dad abuses me. If that's not enough, the kids at my school bully me too. I come home with bruises and covered in food and I leave home with more bruises and covered in dry blood from the night before. Sometimes I feel as if I should just end my life. It's not fair that I get this kind of abuse. I wish Mommy was still alive. I thought as I got dress to go to Rosemary Middle School. I finished getting dressed and ran out of the house as quickly as I could to escape my Dad's wrath. I then ran to school and opened my locker once I got inside. No one really talks to me, unless to bully me, but that's it. I got my books and was walking to class, when Tyler Cross slammed me into a locker.
"Hey dork, how's your Mom? Oh wait, she dead! Hahaha!" He said to me and I was numb. Tyler maybe a jerk, but he never goes that far. Everyone in the hall was silent. Probably because even though they bully me too, they know that what Tyler said was crossing the line. Tyler kept laughing like what he said was the funniest thing in the world. I finally came out of my shock and ran out of school and back home. When I got inside my Dad was sitting on the couch with beer bottles all around him. Darn, I forgot he was here. I thought as he looked up to the door opening.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!! YOUR SUPPOSED TO BE AT SCHOOL! ITS WHAT I PAY MY MONEY FOR!!" He yelled at me and slammed me into the fridge. I tried to get up and run, but I couldn't because he pushed me back down and my head hit the vase on the table above me. I ran out of the house as fast as I could and ran up to the tallest bridge in Lansing and remembered the suicide note I left on my bed before I left for school this morning. I just can't take this anymore. Living my life this way! I closed my eyes and jumped off the bridge, I can finally be with mommy again. Was the last thing I thought before it all went black..
*1 month later*
Here lies Justin Michael Thomas. Even though, his life was tragic, he tried to live it the best he could, before he finally broke. Justin will be remembered...
Tyler Cross and every student that went to Rosemary Middle School that bullied Justin felt sorry and ashamed about what happened.
Tyler Cross was expelled from Rosemary Middle School for bullying Justin and being the main cause for him dying.
James Thomas (Justin Thomas's father) was sentenced life in prison for abusing his son.
Rosemary Middle School is now putting up a rule that if anyone bullies anyone at the school, they will be expelled immediately...
Justin Thomas was the one that let bullying take over him. He took the one road that many Pre-teens and Teenagers take today. Think twice before you bully someone. You could save a life of an innocent person. Now on to the final story.
Victoria's Story

Location: Seattle, Washington
My life was great. Fantastic even. I was a popular girl in school. I had great friends and everything I ever wanted. My family was rich and sometimes I wonder if that's why I have friends. But anyway, back to me. I love my life the way it is, but something went terribly wrong one Friday afternoon. I was sitting in my math class, which I'm actually really good compared to my other subjects, but as I was saying, I was listening to the teacher drown on and on about the lesson, when I started to cough and not one of those "one time sick" kind of coughs. My cough was loud and I couldn't stop. In fact, I couldn't breathe. Black spots danced in my vision and I looked down in my hand to see a sticky red substance. I was coughing up blood. I could here my best friend Clare gagging in disgust behind me and before I knew it, the ground came before me...
I woke up in the hospital a few days later. It turns out that I had a tumor in my brain. Its not cancer, but its a big tumor. Also when I fell down, I hit my mouth and head on my desk and the desk chipped a couple of my teeth so now I have to wear braces. I wear contacts now so glasses are not a problem, but now people are gonna think of me different. There is this guy at my school named Ryan and even though he's not in my social group, I still like him. What would he think of me now? I thought as I walked into school the next day. I was wearing my shiny new braces and I had a huge bandage around my head, from where I cut my head on the desk. I walked in Warner High School with my head held high and off to my locker without a care in the world. I did see kids talking about me though. Later on, I got a bunch of notes calling me metal mouth and tape face. How Original. I thought as I sat down by myself for lunch. My "friends" dumped me earlier, so I'm sitting by myself for lunch. Then I heard a tray come down on my table and looked up to see Ryan Overly.
"Hey Victoria." He said to me and I just couldn't speak. My heart was in my throat, but I tried to speak anyway.
"H-Hey R-Ryan." I said to him, stuttering and I did a mental face-palm for sounding like an idiot.
"Um, do you mind if I sit here?" Ryan asked me and I shook my head.
"No, you can sit here. I don't mind." I told him and he smiled and sat down.
"So, how are you doing? I heard about your spill a few days ago?" He asked and I looked up at him.
"I'll live. I cut my head when I fell and my mouth hit the desk as well, so I chipped a couple of teeth and that's why I'm wearing braces." I told him without a casually and he looked at me with a shocked expression.
"I'm sorry Victoria. I hope you will be ok?" Ryan said holding my hand and I smiled and told him that I would be fine.
The next few days of school were harsh. My old friends found out that I was hanging out with Ryan and started to rag on us more than ever. They would write mean notes and try to get us in trouble with our teachers. I really hate them. Finally after a week, I said something when they called Ryan a really nasty word.
"Ok, THAT'S ENOUGH! You can bully me all you want, but leave Ryan out of this. Why would you even want to bully us? Yeah what your doing is bullying and it needs to stop, before it gets to a point where you will regret it." I told the whole cafeteria and they all looked down in shame, realizing what they were doing. I sat back down and looked at a shocked Ryan.
"That was amazing Victoria." Ryan told me smiling and I smiled back.
"Well what they were doing wasn't ok with me. They were bullying us and that's wrong, so I had to stand up for ourselves." I told him and he looked nervous for a second.
"Yeah. Um Victoria, would you like to, I don't know, maybe go out sometime?" Ryan asked nervously and looked down. I smiled and grabbed his hand and he looked up.
"Ryan, I would love too." I told him and he smiled and gave me a gentle kiss. Finally after liking him so long, we're finally going out!
After I stood up for myself, people gave me new respect in school. Plus, the principle of Warner High told us that if anyone was being bullied to speak up and the bully would be suspended. Turns out the tumor in my head needed surgery to get out and the doctors got it out safely as possible. I am now living with Ryan and we have two kids. Did I mention that we were married? Oh yeah, we got married a few years after we finished college and I couldn't be any happier. Well, I have to drop off Katie (my daughter) To school now. Bye! ~ Victoria Adams, now Overly.
Victoria stood up to herself and overcame the bullying. Now, all of these stories maybe fictional, but these kind of things can happen at anytime or anywhere. Learn to speak up if someone is bullying you, because if you don't, it will get worse and you could take the road Justin Thomas did. A lot of kids do take suicide as a step to stop the bullying. I know it probably seems that if your being bullied, that no one will care or if you tell your parents, they will just make it worse; but please tell someone if someone is bullying you. If your the bully, I would stop before things turn out the way you didn't want to happen. You could save a life, just by being nice to a person. Bullying is wrong and not needed in the world. Be the bigger person and either stop bullying, or say something about it. I do own all of the characters and plot. Thanks for reading. ~ Tyler.

~ Tyler.
